Thailand as a Family

Day dedicated to visiting Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam. We set out to discover the historic center of the city, including the Wat Mahathat temple, dating from the late 14th century. Continuing to the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet temple, which formerly served as a royal temple, and is therefore the largest in the city; Finally, the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, from where we will be able to appreciate the sunset over its ruins.

This morning, we begin the day with a visit to the Baan Saladin agrotourism village, where you will discover the process of making the famous puffed rice cakes, before being able to taste one.

We then continue our adventure with an exploration of the large Maha Sawat canal, formerly used to supply Bangkok's markets. Aboard a boat, we will enjoy a peaceful ride through its waters, while observing local wildlife and feeding the fish.

Back on dry land, we will visit a fruit garden, where you can admire gac fruit plantations and discover the making of various products based on this unique fruit.

We will end this morning with a visit to a lake where magnificent lotus flowers bloom, offering a peaceful landscape to contemplate.

We then head towards Nakhon Pathom, which is home to the Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, Thailand's tallest stupa.

Arrival in Kanchanaburi, where we will take time to visit the great temple of Wat Tham Suea, accessible by climbing with a small cable-car (local standards!!).

Morning departure for the national park and Erawan waterfall (63 km drive). This national park is home to a superb waterfall spanning 7 levels, forming natural pools with emerald blue water teeming with Mahseer Barbs. You can choose to stay around the first 3 levels, the easiest to access, and swim there, but climbing up to the 7th level, while not difficult, is rewarding: La Phu Pha Erawan, with the final cascade being the most majestic of all.

Free afternoon. Possibility to go kayaking (optional). Day accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

Départ pour la gare et embarquement vers 10h40 dans le fameux ''train de la mort'' rendu célèbre par l'histoire du film ''le pont de la rivière Kwai'', pour environ 1 heure de train vers l'Ouest et la région de SaiYok, située à 70 km à l'ouest à l'extrémité de la ligne de train.

Après le déjeuner, nous passons l'après-midi à "Elephant Haven". Sur place, nous achetons des paniers de fruits (non compris – environ 3 euro le panier), friandises des pachydermes.
En début d'après-midi, nous profitons d'un moment d'exception : la baignade avec les Élephants ! Retour en fin d'après-midi à Kanchanaburi.

This morning, we leave for the small floating market of Tah kah, rich in colors and scents. A real immersion in local Thai life. Then, an excursion to a local palm sugar industry. Local curiosity, Market on the Mae Klong railway, where 4 times a day, the fruit and vegetable stalls fold up hastily during the passage of the train crossing the market.

Next, we set off to discover life in the mangroves. By boat, we explore this fragile ecosystem. During our excursion we discover the lifestyle of fishermen (here cockle fishing is done from a surfboard) and visit a shellfish farm. Lunch featuring local specialties.

As night falls, a boat ride on the canal. Our boatman picks us up on the quays, and we set off for a mini-excursion hunting fireflies that illuminate the waters.

This evening, we head to the quays to taste the local flavors of the Floating Market, which is held on weekend evenings. Along the canals, many locals have come to dine. Like them, we order our small dishes directly from each boat: stir-fried noodle dish, some shrimp or squid skewers, or why not pre-cut mangoes. Day accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

This morning, safari to observe the surrounding wildlife, then return to the bungalow for our morning snack. We have some free time to enjoy the lake waters, with the possibility of canoeing.

After breakfast, we leave this place to return to the mainland.

We take advantage of our free stay on the magnificent island of Koh Yao Noi. On site, you will have many activity options: kayaking, snorkeling… (not included). Or why not simply relax by the pool or on the beach.

Take a bike tour in the capital's green lung in the extraordinary Bang Kachao neighborhood - a true jungle in the heart of the city. At the entrance, you can rent bikes to explore the park.

You can also visit an incense stick manufacturing workshop and several small temples and see old houses in the neighborhood.

Possibility to reach the "modern" city center and the department stores district of Siam Square.
